My Rating: 5/5 starts

Silver Shadows is the 5th book in the Bloodline series by Richelle Mead. This series follows Sydney an Alchemist who briefly appeared in the Vampire Academy series. Alchemists protect vampires' secrets and human lives. In the first book in the series, Sydney is sent off on a mission to protect Jill Dragomir-the sister of Moroi Queen Lissa Dragomir-who is in danger. To avoid conflict among the Moroi who believe Lissa Dragomir isn't fit to rule, Jill is sent into hiding. Sydney is forced to pose as Jill's roommate in a human boarding school in Palm Springs, California. Alchemists are supposed to keep their distance from the Moroi and only tolerate one another. Sydney finds herself getting friendly with more than one Moroi......

This cause a lot of drama for Sydney which progresses throughout the series. Adrian, from the Vampire Academy series, also plays a major role in this series.

I absolutely love this series and I even like it more than Vampire Academy. If you too are a fan of Vampire Academy this companion series is a must read. I do recommend reading Vampire Academy before Bloodlines if you haven't already. Other characters such as Rose, Lissa, Dmitri, and Christian also make appearances in this series.

This fifth book will not disappoint and I love it so much. I loved the dual perspective that developed in the fourth book and continued on. As always this book ended on a cliffhanger just like the others. I am definitely looking forward to the fifth and final book in this series titles The Ruby Circle coming February 10, 2015.
